Our favourite adventurer is not only covering some serious mileage (#barefootBritain) but she’s also making waves in the world of media.
Anna Mcnuff has just arrived in Snowdonia National Park on her epic challenge to run 2,620 miles (100 marathons) through Britain – barefoot – and has already had the campfire going with some (burnt) bangers whilst chatting to the President of Girlguiding Cymru, Tori James.
As a proud Girlguiding ambassador, the purpose of Anna’s journey is to inspire young girls to be their brilliant selves. Anna says: “When I stand in front of those young women - our future leaders, scientists, adventurers, athletes, politicians, artists… I’m going to be encouraging them to reach for things that are just beyond what they believe they are capable of. And if I’m asking them to do that, then I have to be on that journey too. Them’s the rules.”
Unsurprisingly, Anna has attracted some major media attention along the way and last month she appeared on ITV news and attracted a five-page spread in Women’s Running Magazine. In an inspiring and heart-felt interview, Anna shares her motivation behind her adventures: “I’d found my niche. I didn’t want to be worried about my times, always keeping an eye on my splits or clock watching. For me, it was – and is – about joy and running.”
As a Crewroom ambassador too, we always pack Anna off with a bundle of clever kit to help her on her way. So, we were more than chuffed to see our ever popular Air Head Visor and super soft and breathable Essence Vest featured in the magazine alongside Anna’s article – looking good Anna!
