Over the years we’ve been glued to our screens (and two subsequent books) following the mad adventures of one of our favourite people – Crewroom Ambassador, Anna McNuff.
Her epic enthusiasm and determination has taken us on many a virtual tour, by her side, crossing the USA by bike, running the length of New Zealand and travelling around Europe on a route dictated by her social media followers.
Clearly not one for sitting still, Anna has now embarked on her latest challenge – to run the distance of 100 marathons (2,620 miles) through Britain – completely barefoot.
Starting in the Shetland Islands and ending five months later in London, Anna is currently weaving her way along rugged coastlines, through small villages, across moors, along beaches, over farmland and down the odd picturesque A-road too. She’ll also pass through some of the country’s biggest cities and plenty of suburbia with the hope that runners (or wannabe runners) will throw on their trainers and join her for a mile or two.
As an ambassador for UK Girl Guiding, Anna wants inspire young girls and women in the UK to challenge themselves and believe in their own abilities, teaching them the joys of adventure and the magic of the great outdoors.
We’d ask why barefoot? But we know Anna and, quite frankly, we know her response – why not?! We do know, however, that she will be wearing clothes (sensible) and so we packed her off with a goodie bag full of Crewroom technical kit including The Drizzle Tee, The Elements Top, The Business Crop and, the funky new addition to our Air Head range - Pier Pressure.
So, here at Crewroom we want to send Anna lots of virtual love (and a virtual foot spa) as she journeys across the UK, literally on foot. If you’d like to follow Anna, check out her website: https://www.annamcnuff.com/ or follow her on Instagram @annamcnuff #BAREFOOTBRITAIN
