Big hats, designer dresses, striped blazers and plenty of Pimms can only mean one thing – Henley Royal Regatta! Last week Crewroom joined the throngs of spectators to pitch up alongside the beautiful riverside in Oxfordshire. Remenham Farm trade village, we set up shop in what was our biggest stand to date. And, thankfully, customers loved our new range of products and new set-up with the women’s Rio range proving a big hit. But it wasn’t all work and no play. Backstage we set-up our own BBQ and, at the end of long hard day, we cracked open the Pimms. We were also fortunate enough to watch some spectacular racing and a special congratulations must go to former Crewroom model – Tom Jeffrey – who was part of the Thames RC crew to win the Visitors Challenge Cup. The Thames coxless four were a boat-length down to the crew from University of California when the Americans made a steering error and hit one of the wooden booms that line the course, almost capsizing and bringing their race to a dramatic end.

The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon has quickly become one of the capital's most popular and iconic sporting events – a stunning 13.1 mile (flat!) route taking in four of London’s eight Royal Parks as well as some of the capital’s world-famous landmarks. Crewroom is the official sponsor of the most exclusive VIP running squad taking part, Team Squirrel, the Royal Parks Foundation’s nutty fundraising scurry. Public places in the race have long been sold out but there’s still space on Team Squirrel! By joining us on Sunday 9 October and pledging to raise £350, you’ll be running to support London’s 8 magical Royal Parks, keeping them safe, clean and bursting with life. And in return for crackin’ this amazing challenge, you’ll be supported you every step of the way – from fundraising and training advice to access to the exclusive Team Squirrel marquee on race day. This weekend sees our Crewroom shops busy with lots of exciting activities and offers. On Saturday from 1pm you’ll find our Northcote Road manager – Tiina – at The Fybre Fitness Hub where you’ll be able to enjoy a free gym pass, join in with swimming trials and indulge in delicious smoothies from SAVSE. And, to top it all, you can wind down at the end with a massage courtesy of our friends from The Wellness Centre. Tiina will be there with a bag full of Crewroom kit so, if you want to look the part, make the most of our 20% discount on the day. On Sunday our Northcote Road team will be joining in with the Summer Fete and will be holding a fashion show on the junction of Northcote Road and Kelmscott Road. So, pop along and see our latest sportswear and, whilst you’re there, have a look through our sample rail where you’ll be able to pick up pre-production samples for £10 or less! If you can’t make it to Northcote Road our Putney High Street store will also be holding a sample sale all weekend.
