The Big Row Hike Row 2025 will see former Special Forces soldier, Ben Gallagher, row the three biggest lakes and hike the three tallest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales, in just three days! And Crewroom will be supporting him every step (and stroke) of the way.
Ben Gallagher’s story is one of endurance, resilience and determination. While serving in the British Army, Ben suffered life-changing injuries. Yet despite all the physical and mental challenges faced during a long recovery, his resilience and sheer determination have seen him become a world-class rower – winning gold at the Invictus Games and competing at the World Indoor Rowing Championships.
In a bid to give back and help others on their journey of recovery, Ben is now an Ambassador for Love Rowing, British Rowing’s Charitable Foundation, which works to make rowing inclusive and accessible to all, and starting 22nd September, he’ll take on The Big Row Hike Row challenge with a £30K fundraising target.
At Crewroom, we’re proud to be supporting Ben and this inspiring challenge. As Official Technical Kit Supplier, we’ll be supplying the performance apparel he needs for this endurance event, including our sustainably-made technical baselayers, rowing suits and waterproof rowing jacket.
Our considered approach to product design and fabrics, attention to detail and genuine love of the outdoors mean Ben can take on this challenge, confident in the fact that the rowing kit we've supplied is designed for comfort and built for performance.
Alongside the kit support for Ben, we’ll also be offering extra incentives with Crewroom discount vouchers for participants who raise over £150!
